Polimetrix, a Silicon Valley-based start up, is launching a spin off 
on Democratic and progressive political data, analytics, and targeting. We
seek a top-notch Python programmer to join our team as a junior or 
software developer in Washington, DC.

Your job is to help design, build, deploy and maintain voter database
applications built in Python. We are creating cutting-edge tools for record
linkage, fuzzy matching, and data cleanup and enhancement, and you will
develop the next generation of these tools. You participate in all 
stages of
software development on a small team using modern engineering principles:
object-oriented design, iterative development, unit testing. Most
importantly, you have a passion for your work and enjoy learning new

great, but not required.

You possess:
  # Knowledge of dynamic languages, especially Python
  # About 2 years' experience programming Linux and Windows systems
  # Strong communication and writing skills
  # Understanding of UI principles and web design
