Sorry, I thought you were talking about ZRS.  We do use ZEO, all 12 app 
servers use the same ZODB in directory storage.  That ZODB is 
snapshotted (is that word?) between the main ZEO and a backup ZEO.  It's 
merely a warm backup since with don't have ZRS.  That's the 10k issue.
