I suspect most of you have already seen that Python 2.4 was released 
this week:

This is not the huge difference that Python 2.3's change in object model 
was. The main new stuff in 2.4 are faster (as usual), converting integer 
overflow to long integers, generator expressions (like list 
comprehensions with an iterator), function decorators (simpler way to 
define a static method), and a new numeric type called "decimal" that 
avoids floating point binary errors.
