The "problem" with a Python interest group is finding something that
Python users have in common, aside from a vague sense of pity for those
poor C++ coders <wink>.
A talk on Web frameworks isn't going to interest someone working in
the gaming area. A talk on scripting games isn't going to interest
someone writing database or reporting tools.
I'd be curious to know how well the python mini-conf went at the
linux conference in Adelaide. It might be feasible to organise a
one-day conference with a wide variety of papers, rather than trying
to pick individual topics that are going to only appeal to a subset
of users.
