In principle, yes, but they are not concrete enough to announce a
time schedule.
At the moment, the NumPy API is still changing in details, so it
remains a moving target. The other problem is that there is array-
dependent code everywhere in MMTK, which has to be checked line by
line for NumPy incompatibilities. That's a lot of work that produces
no publications and not even any immediate benefits - in other words,
I cannot make this a priority task.
In fact, for the immediate future (in particular Python 1.5, with
which Numeric has some problems) I will probably provide an updated
Numeric for MMTK users. That is still a lot less work than switching
to NumPy.
