It seems that you don't have netCDF, or that it is not correctly 
installed.

Not that MMTK and all prerequisites are on Fink, so the easiest way to 
get it running on your Mac, assuming that you use Fink and have it 
configured to accept packages from the "unstable" distribution, is

	fink install mmtk
