<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV>Okay, so after my last email, I realized that SciPy != ScientificPython.&nbsp; Good shot, heh...</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Unfortunately this only got me so far.&nbsp; I can install MMTK, but when I import MMTK.Dynamics python crashes.&nbsp; Also, ScientificPython cannot build with the netcdf interface so several other examples don't work.&nbsp; </DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>I think something is wrong with netcdf and ScientificPython (seeing how it won't build properly and all ;).&nbsp; I'm using the win32 contrib binaries for NetCDF 3.5.0 and the latest versions of mingw32, python, and numeric.&nbsp; I looked into building netcdf on windows thinking that maybe the contributed binaries were bad, but it looks a bit complicated.&nbsp; I was wondering if someone on this list might be able to help?</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Here's the error i get when building ScientificPython:</DIV>
<DIV>building 'Scientific_netcdf' extension<BR>skipping Src/Scientific_netcdf.c (build\temp.win32-2.2\Release\scientific_netcdf<BR>.o up-to-date)<BR>writing build\temp.win32-2.2\Release\Scientific_netcdf.def<BR>C:\Program Files\MinGW\bin\dllwrap.exe -mno-cygwin -mdll -static --entry _DllMai<BR>n@12 --output-lib build\temp.win32-2.2\Release\libScientific_netcdf.a --def buil<BR>d\temp.win32-2.2\Release\Scientific_netcdf.def -s build\temp.win32-2.2\Release\s<BR>cientific_netcdf.o "-Lc:\Program Files\MinGW\usr\lib" -LC:\PROGRA~1\Python22\lib<BR>s -lnetcdf -lpython22 -o build\lib.win32-2.2\Scientific\win32\Scientific_netcdf.<BR>pyd<BR>build\temp.win32-2.2\Release\scientific_netcdf.o(.text+0x2e1):Scientific_netcdf.<BR>c: undefined reference to `_imp__ncerr'<BR>build\temp.win32-2.2\Release\scientific_netcdf.o(.text+0x3c72):Scientific_netcdf<BR>.c: undefined reference to `_imp__ncopts'<BR>dllwrap: gcc exited with status 1<BR>error: command 'dllwrap' failed with exit status 1</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>I can only guess that the _imp__ncerr/ncopts symbols are supposed to be defined in netcdf.lib?</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>please help.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>thanks,</DIV>
