[MMTK] MMTK 2.2 with Python 2.2

That's where I suspect the problem. The last official release is 21.3.
Version 22 files are circulating in several spots, but they are not
official. I have had that one in my machine as well for a while, but
there were too many crashes (though not with the error message you
get).

Please try 21.3, you can download the RPM for RedHat 7.x from the
MMTK download page:
