[MMTK] MMTK 2.2b1

The first beta release of MMTK 2.2 is now available at

    ftp://dirac.cnrs-orleans.fr/pub/MMTK/MMTK-2.2b1.tar.gz

For those who have followed the evolution of the development releases
(2.1.x), the changes are not so many, but compared to 2.0 a lot has
changed and I am too lazy at the moment to list all the new features
and changes.

The main modification with respect to the 2.1.x releases concerns the
installation procedure; MMTK now uses the Distutils package which has
been an integral part of Python since 1.6, and is available as an
add-on for Python 1.5. Installation should be much simpler now, but
it hasn't been tested as thoroughly as the old procedure. Please try
it on your machine!
