[MMTK] mmtk/Python under Mac OS X?

Just wondering if any adventurous soul has compiled mmtk/Scientific 
Python/netlib/etc. under Mac OS X?  I am guessing that any 
distribution that works under FreeBSD would also work with Mac OS X?
