I recently installed mmtk1.1b1 and I am running the examples
where I've come across the following error message:
Traceback (innermost last):
File "solvent.py", line 31, in ?
s = m.boundingSphere()
File "/usr/local/lib/mmtk1.1b1/ChemicalObjects.py", line 42, in __getattr__
return getattr(self.type, attr)
The system is a PPro box running RedHat 4.1 Linux (2.0.27) and python 1.4
All the latest versions of NumPy, netcdf, scientific modules... are
installed. NumPy was installed as an extension and MMTK was
compiled ... with -lnumpymodule in the Setup file.
In the above error it seems that the __getattr__ function in
ChemicalObject intercepts the call to the method boundingSphere
that is supposed to be inherited from the Collection.py module.
The dates in the Collection.py and ChemicalObjects.py modules
are 9/1997 so I believe these are the latest!
Any work around to the problem?
A similar error appears in running the
constrained_modes.py module in the Examples directory.
