Nothing much documentation yet. Full documentation will come in a future release. Basically run the qnews-config.sh script to set up the config files. You should put the qmail.py script in your path (though it's not a requirement). After you config, you can run "qnews.py check" to check newsgroups and email them to your email address. It's best to put this in your crontab. To post to a newsgroup you can, for example, send an email to joeuser-qnews-alt.test@domain.com. QNews will take the email and post it as an article to alt.test. QNews also has the beginnings of remote management, you can send email to joeuser-qnews-subscribe@domain.com to subscribe, or joeuser-qnews-unsubscribe@domain.com to unsubscribe newsgroups. The list of newsgroups should be in the body of the message, one per line. To get a list of subscribed groups, send email to joeuser-qnews-list@domain.com. There is not yet much security built into qnews. It does not use email-based confirmation on posts or subscription changes. The default configuration name is "qnews", but using another name is more secure. Send feedback to marduk@python.net Last update: 16 April 2002
