msgbg

msgbg creates randomised text-based backgrounds that communicate a message in some stylish way in bitmap, PDF and SVG format. This module resulted from my initial frustration with an OS X screensaver that was not able to save its otherwise nice images, too. Now, that I wrote this, I found that I could have used ServerLab from DozingCat but I still like it.

A really fancy video version, in QuickTime format (1.5 MB) comes from a modified version of msgbg. And a somewhat unrelated collection of all solutions (1787 - I hope) to the "12 queens" problem (modulo rotation, flipping, etc): QuickTime MPEG-4 movie (4.7 MB), and as a PDF file (1.5 MB).
